Pokémon Type Chart

This page provides a chart documenting how each of the 18 types of Pokémon interact with one another in battle. Read the chart by selecting an attack type from the column on the left and checking the symbols in the intersections of the rows and columns. 0=Regular: 1X damage, +=Super effective: 2X damage, -=Not very effective: 0.5X damage, X=No effect: 0X damage

Many Pokémon have two types instead of just one. To check how a given attack type affects a dual-type Pokémon, use the chart to find how your attack type affects each target type individually, then multiply the values of those symbols together. Example: A Fighting-Type attack has + against Dark and - against Poison. 2*0.5=1. A Fighting-type attack will deal regular damage against a Poison-and-Dark Pokémon.
